Tom Hopcroft

Tom Hopcroft is a technology ecosystem builder and policy advocate whose career has centered on strengthening Massachusetts as a place for technology companies to grow. He founded the New England Business and Technology Association, which he later merged with the Massachusetts Software Council to form the Mass Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC), an organization he led as president and CEO for over a decade. Under his leadership, MassTLC grew into the leading technology trade association in New England, known for its work on workforce development, immigration policy, and inclusive innovation across business, government, academia, and nonprofits. In 2023, he founded the Net Zero Institute to accelerate corporate decarbonization, and has more recently entered electoral politics, running for the Massachusetts State Senate to bring his perspective on technology and economic development to the legislature.
